  Function and design

  In normal operation the relay is excited, ie there is no excessive rise in temperature. If a specific temperature is exceeded, the relay will drop out. The motor is simultaneously disconnected and the fault display will light up. A memory-integrated circuit inside the device keeps the motor switched off until the re-start resistance is reached, and the "Reset" button is operated (internally or externally). Only then is it possible for the motor to start up again. In order to prevent open-circuits, the sensor leads operate in accordance with the closed-circuit current principle.
