Application
In automation, the RS 232 interface has been widely used for exchanging data between various devices. However, its use in industry is greatly restricted by its insuffucuent range and susceptibility to interference.
Wieland transducer modules eliminate these disadvantages, and [ermit trouble-free data transfer over distances of up to 1000 m.
Description
The RS 232 data signals to be transmitted are prepared, isolated by optocouplers, and sent to the transfer path using a different standard level (eg RS422 voltage level). The same process is followed with return data.
The flat aluminium housing with mounting foot attached greatly facilitates installation, for example in a electric cabinet on a standard mounting rail. The mosule is connected using a 25-pole D-sub plug and socket.
