Designed for high exposure use such as lines that are in close proximity to industrial transients. The device will also be effective in dealing with ground offset transients. Ground offsets should be addressed by utilizing galvanic isolation. The data lines should be twisted to minimize differential transients. This surge protector is designed as a hybrid. It contains first stage inductance, second stage MOV's and snubbers, a third stage of ferrite noise suppression and induction and aa final stage of high speed transient voltage protection. In order to limit the total capacitance as much as possible, the design of this device concentrates on common mode transients more than differential. There will be no significant differential noise on a twisted pair of wires.
