Application

In many cases fixed-voltage regulators supply the low-power electronic equipment in the electrical cabinet, such as analog modules, initiators, sensors, etc.

Function and design

The fixed-voltage regulator converts an alternating voltage coming from the power transformer into a stabilized direct voltage, possessing a very low ripple component.

An internal diode protects the fixed-voltage regulator against induction peaks. Additional protection is proovided by an integrated thermal overload protector, which disconnects the fixed-voltage regulator in the case of an excessive load. The component is also protected by a miniature fuse.

All inputs and outputs have double screw connections, and are equipped with a test point.

A properly functioning module is indicated in the output by means of an LED (green).

Application

The task of in-phase controlled current supplies is to supply the industrial electronic equipment in the electrical caninet. This mainly includes lights, relays, amplifiers, I/O cards, etc., which are connected to the control unit.

Function and design

In-phase regulators are protected against overloads and short-circuits, and are characterized by high output voltage stability and low residual ripple. A diose protects the regulator against inductive peaks. In addition, the output is fitted with a ( 5 x 20mm) miniature fuse. A properly functioning module is indicated via a LED (green) at the output.
