Current Sensing Relay module

Application

The Current Sensing Relay CSR 4...20mA is a specialized, simple monitoring module. It is intended for diverting switching functions from current signals in the range 4...20mA.

Of course, the CSR 4...20mA may also be connected to signal current circuits 0...20mA where, however, the switching function below 2 mA is not required.

The CSR module is electrically capable of operaring over a range of 9 1/2 V DC to 40 V DC. This module is unique in that it has built in processing which allows it to detect a current level between 4 mA DC and 20mA DC. The current level that triggers the relay can be user adjusted throughout that range, by means of a potentiometer on the face of the unit.

Additionally, both the control electronics and dry contact relay are built into a single package. This results in a savings of rail space.

The output is a potential-free relay changeover contact, which can switch relatively large loads up to a maximum voltage of 380 V.

The input is not isolated against the supply voltage.

Should this feature be required, then modules from the UET or UET-P series must be selected.
