Isolated interface module

Application

The I/O impedence specifications for the Wieland Analog Modules also apply to the AKT series. In addition, these modules also fulfill the important function of isolating the input and output signals.

When coupling remote components, which often also have several supplies, this signal isolation is imperative in order to prevent ground or earth loops which corrupt the measuring value. With common potential, powerful sources of interference andatmospheric disturbances can cause transient voltage differences so high, that components of the transfer devices can be destroyed. Isolation prevents this to a large degree

The consistent use of the AKT can therefore increase the operational reliability of a system.
